Edition 3 is out now!

May 2015 cover 6It is the intention of Cats with Thumbs to create opportunities for emerging artists in order to foster their creative growth and provide exposure. There is a plethora of quality anthologies and competitions focused on genre fiction, but very little to encourage emerging literary fiction writers, poets and creative artists. It is Cats with Thumbs intention to fill that gap.  Something beautiful that we also  want to recognise is the integral part artwork makes as a creative form and welcome emerging artists to submit their work for inclusion to the anthologies.

Cats with Thumbs  publish a free blogzine twice a year. In addition, we plan to publish on Amazon, a “best of” chosen from favourite pieces, in July each year.

This edition is dedicated to the theme of restlessness where words question our mortality, our time allotted to us, provoking us to live our dreams and aspirations, and to explore the miracles of the world around us.

The grey area between poetry and the short story has blurred to an indescribable smudge over the past year. The emergence of dribbles, drabbles, hint, smoke, twiction, sudden pros, threshold fiction, nano, micro fiction, short shots and flash makes categorising these forms extremely difficult.

So with this in mind, our contributors will not have their work boxed into a set category, but rather, the words be allowed to mingle to create a beautiful experience for the reader.

We are also very blessed to have the artistic works from Kate Murray, A Mitchell and Bec Vella – Miller.

Our contributors include:
